Default Me/E Suppressed Dreams

I was recently messing around with a certain Me/E water ele build. At first, I just added Fevered Dreams to it, but I later began to think of what I could do to make it a better suppression build, and this is what eventually worked out.

Attributes:
Fast Casting: 9+1
Illusion Magic: 10+2+1
Inspiration Magic: 9+1
Fire Magic: 3
Water Magic: 8

Fevered Dreams (E)
(Optional 1)
Drain Delusions
Glyph of Immolation
Steam
Accumulated Pain
Shrinking Armor
(Optional 2)

Optional 1:
Energy management of some ssort, possibly through Power Drain, Drain Enchantment, or something else from the Inspiration line.

Optional 2:
A rez signet (if needed), or more energy management.

Equipment:
Silencing weapon of some sort, preferably a spear, with shield or offhand.

The purpose of this build is to simultaneously provide anti-caster, anti-melee, and anti-healing, mostly over a large area in general PvE. At 13 illusion, the dazing from Fevered Dreams is 3 seconds, boosted to 4 seconds by the Silencing weapon. By using Fevered>Glyph>Steam>Cracked Armor>Accumulated Pain>Drain Delusions, it can keep a caster dazed for quite a long time (and if you have an mm, interrupted constantly). Not only that, but the chain also induces aoe blind, aoe deep wound, and aoe cracked armor.

At 10 Inspiration, drain delusions gives back 16 energy, which, in combination with 1-2 other energy management skills, allows you to keep going indefinitely.

Although it works well enough right now, I'm wondering if there might be something that works well with this build to put in the optional slots. I was thinking Fragility and Hypochondria to spike a target by using Fevered>Fragility>Hypochondria, but then the energy might go straight out the window.

<insert random conclusion here because I suck at writing>

I think this thread will help you out a lot.

look at mandragor-in-a-can. it's very similar to your build, and is a hell of a lot of fun to play.

There's something wrong with the attributes.

How much points in water and fire?

I run a similar build, bless the norn

fevered dreams
fragility
glyph of immolation
steam
you are all weaklings!
ymlad!
technobable
etap

Etap is enough to keep me active, as long as I don't spam techno and FD. I have a necro hero applying cracked armor, otherwise I would change out ymlad! for finish him!

Technobabble is redundant. You already cause dazed through Fevered Dreams (interrupting in the process). Finish Him! would be a better alternative, as you provide another two useful conditions (Cracked Armour and Deep Wound).

I also prefer Ash Blast over GoI and Steam, that way I can bring Drain Delusions as another energy management skill, but obviously it doesn't work on enemies that cannot be knocked down.

Personally, I try to stay away from PvE skills, as effective as they may be. Also, I looked at the mandragor-in-a-can. For me, the effective range of Extend Conditions is a bit too small for my tastes, and thus this.

For a build like this, Extend Conditions is inferior to Fevered Dreams.
FD has greater range, inflicts dazed and it doesn't matter if your target dies after you use Finish Him.

You severely weaken yourself by not using PvE skills in a build like this. The alternatives are far weaker or non-existent.
For example, no caster class has the ability to inflict Cripple. Using Illusion of Weakness followed by Plague Sending isn't efficient and Mantis Touch would require a lead attack and is in an irritating line with little easy to use stuff.
Deep Wound could be applied with Phantom Pain and Accumulated Pain, but both are slower than Finish Him and neither cause Cracked Armour at the same time.
Cracked Armour isn't too bad - Weaken Armour is your best bet. If you're an ele secondary, Shell Shock. Shrinking Armour is inferior and would only work if you're timely on Drain Delusions.
